Yesterday met the YEP peeps at ling's place. bbq. theres not much ppl, those who are in singapore attended. a lot of them are overseas. it is not a bad turnout.
it has been a yr and half. and it strange who we still talk abt cambodia after so long. those minute details. it was as if we never left cambodia.
the peanut rice. boney punk. ray's muay thai ankles. hua lian horrible rooms ( ray's murder scene, rach's haunted room, mine haunted kid's room, the ah tiong's, poor david getting stuck at the lift)
all these. none of us have forgotten. every 20 minutes, someone would clap the hands and shout "Oh ! i remember.. that time in cambodia.. " and this starts another round of jostling and laughter.
All of us have a certain chemistry with each other. The witty comments. Those smart ass remarks which all of us laugh it off.
How pure. The friendship.
That again, such a pity. That this pure friendship is straining to stay the same, fighting against time, stress and commitments back in singapore. Of cuz, there are other things that strains this friendship.
